MG ZS takes 30% of Egypt's compact car market

The MG ZS has dominated the SUV-B crossover segment in Egypt during the first nine months of this year. With a commanding 30.7% market share and 1,423 units sold, it has secured the top spot.

According to the latest report from the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC), the Geely GX3 Pro follows closely in second place with a 22.5% market share and 1,043 units sold. The Kia Xceed takes the third position, capturing a 19.6% share with 908 units.

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport ranks fourth with a 4% market share and 186 vehicles sold. The Opel Mokka and Nissan Juke claim the fifth and sixth positions, respectively, with 3.5% and 3.1% market shares, and 163 and 145 units sold.

The electric MG 4 secures seventh place with a 3% market share and 141 vehicles sold. The Changan CS35 PLUS rounds out the top eight with a 3% share and 137 units sold.

The Geely Coolray secured the ninth spot on the list of best-selling SUV-B crossovers in Egypt during the first nine months of this year. With a 2.7% market share and 125 units sold, it rounded out the top ten.

The remaining 7.7% market share, representing 358 vehicles, was distributed among other brands available in the local market.
