New car registrations in Egypt experienced a decline in October 2024, according to the latest report from the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool.
The report revealed a decrease of 830 vehicles in October, with 13,298 new cars registered compared to 14,128 in September.
While 2025 model year cars saw a
significant increase, reaching 6,132 units in October (up from 4,375 in
September), registrations for older model years (2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021)
declined. The 2024 model year experienced the most substantial drop.
This suggests a shift in consumer preference towards newer models, particularly the 2025 model year. However, the overall decline in new car registrations may be influenced by various factors, including economic conditions, interest rates, and the availability of new models.
