President Sisi: Looking forward to boosting economic and trade relations with Azerbaijan

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized his desire to strengthen economic and trade ties by leveraging the complementary strengths of both countries. This collaboration could focus on key sectors like construction and transportation, communications and information technology, food and pharmaceuticals, and oil and gas.

 The President delivered this speech following his talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, which took place at the Ittihadiya Palace on Saturday morning.

 President Sisi congratulated President of Azerbaijan on his re-election and expressed Egypt's pleasure that Azerbaijan will host the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change..

He emphasized that his discussions with the Azeri president reaffirmed a shared desire to strengthen bilateral relations across various fields. This includes continued political coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as boosting economic and trade ties. Both nations see significant potential for collaboration, particularly in construction and transportation, communications and information technology, food and drug industries, and oil and gas.

Our discussions also highlighted the importance of maintaining regular political consultations between our countries. We agreed to convene the sixth session of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Joint Committee for economic, scientific, and technical cooperation as soon as possible. Additionally, organizing the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Businessmen's Forum will further strengthen economic and trade ties, paving the way for deeper cooperation in the future.

The President expressed his hope for a leap in joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields and building on the friendly relations between our peoples.
