The Cabinet's Information Center has categorically denied rumors circulating on social media and hostile media outlets regarding the sale of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The Center affirmed that the GEM will remain under the exclusive ownership of the Egyptian state.
The Center denounced these claims as baseless and malicious, aimed at spreading confusion and misinformation among citizens. It stressed that the Egyptian government is firmly committed to preserving all of the country's invaluable antiquities and safeguarding its rich cultural heritage.
The Information Center further emphasized that preparations for the imminent opening of the GEM are ongoing, with continuous monitoring of the museum and its surrounding area. The Center indicated that the official opening date will be announced soon, and that various procedures and steps related to this momentous occasion are currently being finalized.
