The New Egyptian Countryside Development Company, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Migration, has launched "Your Farm in Egypt," an initiative to engage Egyptian expatriates in the 1.5 million feddan land reclamation project and promote sustainable development.
To facilitate investment in a significant agricultural project, the New Egyptian Countryside Development Company and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This initiative aims to provide Egyptians abroad with opportunities to participate in the project. The MOU was signed by Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Wahab, Chairman and Managing Director of the New Egyptian Countryside Development Company, and Ambassador Nabil Habashy, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Migration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs.
This strategic cooperation will facilitate overseas Egyptian
investment in Egypt's agricultural and development sectors, bolstering the
national economy and enhancing food security.
Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Wahab stated that the
"Your Farm in Egypt" initiative aligns with the state's strategy to
engage all societal segments in national development projects. This initiative
strengthens ties between major national projects and Egyptians abroad, offering
a prime investment opportunity in the 1.5 million feddan reclamation project, a
leading agricultural development in Egypt and the region. It aims to enhance
food security, boost local production, and elevate the agricultural economy.
He explained that the initiative allows Egyptians abroad to
acquire agricultural land within the 1.5 million feddan project, offering
diverse investment opportunities in agriculture and development, ultimately
boosting local production and developing the new Egyptian countryside.
"We are dedicated to providing Egyptians abroad with
all necessary resources to invest in their homeland's projects," Major
General Abdel Wahab emphasized. "This includes streamlined land
acquisition and full technical and logistical support at every stage of the
project."
The New Egyptian Countryside Development Company is developing additional initiatives, to be announced shortly, to expand investment opportunities in the 1.5 million feddan project for Egyptians abroad, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant state agencies.
