Within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA), and the Green Sharm Project, the IMC has provided technical support for two solar power stations in two hotels in Sharm El Sheikh. This support encompassed inspecting component conformity, conducting operational tests, and overseeing grid connection to ensure system efficiency and performance.
The solar stations at Rehana Royal Hotel (497.28 kilowatts) and Desert View Hotel (400 kilowatts) significantly contribute to renewable energy expansion and sustainable development. These installations support clean energy transition, reduce fossil fuel dependence, and lower carbon emissions. They also improve energy efficiency in tourist facilities and decrease operational costs, directly supporting the state's strategy to promote renewable energy in vital sectors.
The IMC continues its efforts to provide technical support to ensure the implementation of renewable energy projects in accordance with best practices and approved standards, thus promoting sustainability across various sectors.
