Petroleum Minister: ENPPI's Gulf successes signal expansion

Petroleum Minister Karim Badawy oversaw ENPPI's general assembly, reviewing the company's 2024 performance. He directed ENPPI to expand operations abroad, prioritizing the Saudi Arabian market to leverage energy and infrastructure opportunities. The Minister emphasized strategic Egyptian-Saudi partnerships to solidify ENPPI's regional standing as a trusted turnkey contractor.

He also highlighted ENPPI's successful ventures in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, urging further expansion across the Arab region's oil, gas, and infrastructure sectors. Additionally, he stressed the importance of expanding ENPPI's training services in Africa.

ENPPI Chairman Engineer Wael Lotfy reported that the company navigated global challenges, including political instability and supply chain disruptions, through flexible policies like organizational restructuring and digital transformation, while upholding governance standards.

Despite these challenges, ENPPI achieved significant milestones in 2024, executing major domestic and international projects with high safety and quality standards. These included 10 overseas projects in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan, and key domestic projects like the MIDOR refinery expansion and the El Nasr chemical plant.

Ongoing projects include the ANOPC solar complex and the Dahshour gas compressor station expansion. ENPPI recorded 89 million safe working hours, targeting a $5.5 billion project portfolio by 2028.

Financially, ENPPI reported a net profit of 2.7 billion Egyptian pounds, with external projects contributing 88% of revenue, up from 59% in 2023, demonstrating successful international growth.

ENPPI achieved record-high global rankings by ENR, placing 7th among top refinery and petrochemical design firms, and being the sole Egyptian company in the top 225 international design firms (73rd, up 19 places). It also ranked 131st among the top 250 international contractors, a 56-place improvement.
