Housing Ministry approves reconciliation requests

Housing Ministry approves reconciliation requests

Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Planning and Projects, directed new city authorities to simplify reconciliation request procedures, remove barriers, and accelerate resolutions. This aligns with Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny's directives for regular monitoring of reconciliation request receipt and resolution status.

The Housing Ministry's office announced that the committee responsible for handling reconciliation law inquiries has issued guidelines for citizens, technical and appeals committees, and relevant administrative bodies. These guidelines have been distributed to all city authorities to increase public understanding, encourage reconciliation applications, and clarify the roles of administrative bodies and specialized committees, streamlining their tasks. This aligns with the ministry's commitment to transparency regarding reconciliation procedures and required documents, aiming to simplify matters for citizens.

Engineer Nafisa Mahmoud Hashem, Advisor to the Minister and Head of the Committee for Responding to Inquiries about the Reconciliation Law, announced the development of three guidelines for building violation reconciliation, aligning with Law No. 187 of 2023 and its executive regulations within New Urban Communities Authority cities, in addition to governorate-specific guidelines. These guidelines are accessible on the ministry and authority's electronic websites and social media pages.

The supervisor of the Housing and Utilities Sector confirmed that the committee responsible for addressing reconciliation law inquiries continues to respond to questions from new city authorities, relevant administrative bodies, ministries, and all parties involved in law implementation, including technical and appeals committees and citizens. The committee also issues periodic letters to clarify and interpret the reconciliation law and its executive regulations, in addition to preparing booklets and guidelines for relevant administrative bodies and those dealing with the law.

Engineer Moustafa El-Nagar, Head of the Housing and Utilities Sector and Rapporteur of the Committee for Responding to Inquiries about the Reconciliation Law, stated that the committee continues to hold meetings with specialists in new city authorities and housing directorates to clarify the procedures for implementing Law No. 187 of 2023 and its executive regulations issued by Prime Minister Decision No. 1121 of 2024 regarding building violation reconciliation, and to address inquiries from these bodies.
