Engineer Mohamed Shimi, the Minister of Public Business Sector, visited Saturday the Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in Mahalla El Kubra, a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning, Weaving, and Ready-made Clothes.
Upon arrival, the minister was
greeted by Major General Ashraf El Gendi, the Governor of Gharbia. A subsequent
meeting was held with the Governor, several members of the House of
Representatives and the Senate, and representatives from the Holding Company:
Dr. Ahmed Shaker, the executive managing director, and Engineer Ahmed Badr, the
managing director of the Mahalla Spinning Company.
The meeting addressed various topics concerning the ministry's affiliated companies and their Gharbia Governorate projects, including the Mahalla Spinning Company's development plan. The latest progress on the new factories within the national spinning and weaving industry development project was reviewed. The minister listened to proposals from parliament members, emphasizing the importance of ongoing effective communication with them and collaborative efforts to serve the public interest.
