Minister of Military Production, Engineer Mohamed Salah Eddin Moustafa, met with Ahmed Nehad, the Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco, to explore investment opportunities and areas of mutual cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Military Production's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, showcased the ministry's advanced manufacturing capabilities and technological expertise. Minister Moustafa emphasized the ministry's primary responsibility in fulfilling the requirements of the armed forces and police with munitions, weapons, and equipment. He also highlighted the ministry's strategic utilization of excess production capacity to manufacture a diverse range of civilian products at competitive prices, thereby contributing significantly to national development projects.
He emphasized that the meeting
aimed to foster stronger bilateral trade and investment relations, open new
markets for the products of the military production companies within the
Moroccan market, and attract Moroccan investments to Egypt. He highlighted the
significant investment opportunities and the economic reforms implemented in
Egypt in recent years, emphasizing the country's strong commitment to
attracting greater foreign investment.
The minister extended an
invitation to technical delegations from Moroccan companies to visit the
ministry's companies and units to explore their advanced technological
capabilities, skilled human resources, and sophisticated manufacturing
processes, and to discuss potential areas for mutually beneficial cooperation.
He emphasized that such visits would provide a valuable platform for
establishing new strategic partnerships.
Ambassador Ahmed Nehad commended
the Ministry of Military Production for its pivotal role as a cornerstone of
military manufacturing in Egypt and recognized it as one of the most important
industrial pillars of the state. He emphasized the ministry's successful
utilization of excess production capacity for both civilian production and
exports.
The ambassador expressed his strong desire to collaborate closely with the ministry and the Egyptian embassy in Morocco to foster and strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations, and to facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation between companies from both countries. He highlighted the robust economic relations already existing between the two countries, underpinned by the deep-rooted and enduring ties between the Egyptian and Moroccan peoples, which provide a strong foundation for attracting greater Moroccan investment. He concluded by stating that he would invite Moroccan investors and businessmen to visit the military production companies to explore their capabilities and identify potential areas of cooperation.
