Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Engineer Karim Badawy, witnessed the signing of two framework agreements for cooperation between the Saudi company Abdel Hadi Al-Qahtani Group and several Egyptian petroleum sector companies, including the Petroleum Development Company, the Engineering for Petroleum and Petrochemical Industries Company (ENPPI), and the Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Company (Petrojet).
This occurred during his participation in the "Iktifaa" conference and exhibition in Saudi Arabia. On the sidelines of the event, Engineer Karim Badawy met with Sheikh Tariq Al-Qahtani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Qahtani Group, in the presence of Engineer Moataz Atef, Deputy Minister for the Affairs of the Minister's Office, the Technical Office, and the official spokesman for the ministry.
During the meeting, both sides
affirmed the importance of cooperation in several key areas such as the field
of mining, as it is witnessing significant development in Egypt, in addition to
cooperation with Egyptian companies in the energy field, and exploring ways to
increase investment and open new markets in Africa.
Two agreements were signed: The
first was signed by Engineer Moustafa Amin Amer, Chairman of the Petroleum
Development Company, and Abdel Hadi Tariq Al-Qahtani, Chairman of PWS Company.
The second agreement was signed by Engineer Walid Lutfy, Chairman of Petrojet,
Engineer Wael Lutfy, Chairman of ENPPI, and Abdel Hadi Tariq Al-Qahtani,
Chairman of PWS Company.
These agreements aim to establish a strategic alliance and foster commercial cooperation, leveraging the expertise and specialization of each party. They also aim to cooperate throughout the Middle East and Africa to develop engineering, procurement, and construction projects in the fields of oil, gas, petrochemicals, infrastructure, and industry.
