Housing: Fast-track delivery plans for citizens

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, is closely monitoring the progress of several housing projects underway in Badr, the New Capital, 15th of May, and New Damietta. These projects encompass units for the "Housing for All Egyptians" presidential initiative, "Sakan Misr" (Housing Egypt), and luxury housing. This oversight involves regular reports and on-site inspections.

El-Sherbiny emphasized that these projects aim to provide housing options that cater to diverse income brackets while simultaneously generating employment opportunities. He reiterated the government's commitment to fulfilling citizens' aspirations for suitable homes that enhance their quality of life, in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives.

During his review, he instructed the development of specific plans to expedite the completion of ongoing housing projects according to strict quality standards, including essential utilities and services. This will ensure timely delivery of units to citizens and facilitate the launch of new booking phases to meet growing demand.

He pointed out that the ministry's policy for providing housing units is based on three axes: making luxury units available to high-income individuals at their real price, supporting middle-income individuals by providing suitable units for them, and supporting the low-income segment by providing subsidized social housing units.

Engineer Ali Saad, head of the 15th of May City Development Authority, and his team conducted an inspection tour of the 'Housing for All Egyptians - Low-Income Axis' project in the Narges area. The project comprises 465 buildings, offering a total of 11,160 housing units, each measuring 90 square meters.

He emphasized the need for regular follow-up on the progress of work in the project and ensuring its compliance with the specified standards and timetables. He also inspected a number of housing units under construction and the infrastructure of the area, including utilities networks and roads, affirming that the authority will continue to push forward with the work and overcome any obstacles that may arise during the implementation process.

Engineer Mohamed Abdel Aziz, head of the Badr City Authority, and officials from the authority conducted an inspection tour that included utilities and roads work in the 44-building 'Distinguished Housing' project, to follow up on the executive status of the ongoing work in the project to overcome any obstacles and accelerate the pace of implementation.

During the tour, Amer emphasized the need to increase the number of workers and equipment and work around the clock on all utilities items in parallel with the finishing of units, stressing the need to adhere to technical specifications and scheduled dates.

Engineer Amaar Mandour, head of the New Capital City Authority, conducted a tour of some of the ongoing work at the site of the presidential initiative 'Housing for All Egyptians - Low-Income Axis' buildings in the 2350-feddan area.

During the tour, Engineer Amaar Mandour met with representatives of the working companies and the project's supervising consultant at the work site, where they discussed some important points, including increasing the rates of work to achieve the targeted rates of progress, urging the implementing companies to adhere to the supervision authority's instructions regarding technical aspects and materials used in the work, and to quickly provide the materials used in the project with the required quality.

Engineer Ashraf Fathi Mahmoud, head of the New Damietta City Authority, and his team inspected the ongoing road paving and parking area construction at the Sakan Misr 40-building site south of the fourth neighborhood. The inspection aimed to evaluate project progress and ensure adherence to the established timeline and quality standards.
