Engineer Sherif Elsherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing development projects in several new cities on Saturday. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the New Alamein City Authority and focused on the progress of the city's projects, as well as the tourist villages of Marina Alamein, Marakia, and Marbella. Additionally, the Minister assessed the status of development initiatives in New Ras Al Hekma City and the 1,230-acre land development project in West Dabaa. The meeting was attended by key officials from the New Urban Communities Authority and the Minister's technical team.
Engineer Khaled Sorour, Chairman
of the Tourist Villages Authority, provided a detailed update on the
infrastructure upgrades being implemented in the Marina Alamein Center. These
improvements include upgrades to drinking water and sanitation systems, marine
works, green spaces, roads, and other essential facilities. The financial
performance, investment opportunities, and the importance of maintaining and
enhancing these facilities were also discussed. The Minister emphasized the
need to create a more visually appealing environment for the upcoming summer
season and ensure adequate parking facilities. He also encouraged the
exploration of unique recreational projects to attract visitors.
The minister urged all
stakeholders to expedite the implementation of the Marina 8 project within the
Marina Alamein Tourist Center. This ambitious project, overlooking Marina Lake,
comprises a diverse range of residential units, including villas, twin houses,
chalets, and buildings. The project also includes essential amenities such as
facilities, roads, landscaping, and recreational features. Spanning 104 acres,
Marina 8 is designed with multiple levels to offer breathtaking lake views from
every unit.
Engineer Waleed Abdelrahman
Haggag, Head of the New Ras Al Hekma City Authority, presented an overview of
the ongoing preparations in Ras Al Hekma City for the commencement of various
development and investment projects. He also provided an update on the status
of the allocation and servicing of alternative lands in the "Shams Al
Hekma" area, designated for those with existing properties in Ras Al Hekma
City. This alternative area, as per the master plan, includes residential,
service, commercial, and investment zones, along with a primary road network.
Engineer Waleed Abdelqader, Head of
the New Urban Communities Authority for the Second Sector of the North Coast,
presented the progress of developing the 1,230-acre land under the jurisdiction
of the New Urban Communities Authority in the West Dabaa area. A fully-serviced
community will be developed to accommodate residents of the coastal and tribal
areas of West Dabaa, providing essential services and regional investment zones
overlooking the coastal road.
Finally, Engineer Ahmed Ibrahim, Head of the New Alamein City Authority, presented an update on various projects in the city, including the coastal area towers, downtown towers, Mazarin compound, the Latin Quarter, the "Masr Housing" and "Housing for All Egyptians" projects, the heritage city, and infrastructure and road projects.
