Following the directives of Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, to monitor Egyptian exports, Dr. Mohamed El-Mansy, Head of the Central Administration of Agricultural Quarantine, announced that the Egyptian orange export season will begin on December 1st.
Raw oranges will be accepted at quarantine-approved stations starting November 25th for preparation and processing. The first shipment can be exported on December 1st.
These dates were agreed upon by representatives of the Citrus Committee of the Export Council for Agricultural Products and the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine after evaluating factors such as productivity, colour, and other indicators for oranges.
