Dr. Mahmoud Essmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, met with Engineer Zafer Melhem, Chairman of the Palestinian Authority for Energy and Natural Resources. The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity’s executive bureau meetings in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital on December 1st and 2nd, focused on exploring ways to provide various forms of support to Palestine.
Essmat emphasized the great importance that the political leadership places to supporting the Palestinian people. He cited the Palestinian minister’s intervention during the executive council meetings, where discussions focused on providing crucial support in the fields of electricity and energy. This includes restarting the solar power plant, bolstering the electricity grid, and rehabilitating related infrastructure to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people through humanitarian efforts.
Engineer Zafer Melhem commended Egypt’s crucial role and the supportive stance of its leadership towards the Palestinian people. He highlighted the significance of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity’s meetings in providing essential support to the Palestinian electricity grid and addressing the needs of the Palestinian population.
