On the sidelines of his participation on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly met today, Tuesday, with Peter Koerte, Member of the Managing Board, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at the German company Siemens, in the presence of Mohamed Negm, Egyptian Ambassador to Switzerland.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister lauded the successful collaboration with Siemens, emphasizing the strong and mutually beneficial partnership across numerous sectors. He reiterated the government's commitment to supporting this partnership, expressing his readiness to welcome company officials at any time for discussions. The Prime Minister outlined a vision for expanding the scope of this collaboration, exploring new areas where Siemens' expertise can significantly contribute to Egypt's development.
In response, Koerte expressed his
gratitude for the Egyptian government's unwavering support, acknowledging the
government's efforts in facilitating business operations and addressing any
challenges faced by Siemens. He highlighted the government's focus on
modernizing the Egyptian economy, particularly the transportation sector, and
emphasized Siemens' dedication to the successful completion of its ongoing
projects in Egypt.
Koerte further expressed Siemens'
keen interest in deepening its collaboration with the Egyptian government in
the energy sector, aligning with the government's ambitious plan to position
Egypt as a regional energy hub. He also emphasized the importance of joint
efforts in driving digital transformation, particularly through the development
of a skilled Egyptian workforce in this crucial domain.
Concluding the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to the successful implementation of the agreed-upon initiatives, emphasizing the importance of close coordination with relevant Egyptian authorities.
