Saudi Arabia has secured the 14th spot globally and the first in the Arab world in the United Nations-endorsed Global Artificial Intelligence Index, compiled by the AI Advisory Board. This remarkable achievement places the Kingdom among the top 83 countries worldwide.
Moreover, Saudi Arabia has
continued to excel in government AI strategy, demonstrating a significant
17-rank improvement. This underscores the Kingdom's commitment to leveraging AI
for societal and economic advancement.
The Kingdom's seventh-place
ranking in AI trade further highlights its proactive approach to AI development
and investment. By fostering a thriving AI ecosystem, Saudi Arabia is building
national capacities and contributing to global AI innovation.
The Global AI Index, established
in 2019, provides a comprehensive assessment of AI development worldwide. It
evaluates countries across seven key dimensions: government strategy, business
environment, infrastructure, research and development, talent, and trade. Based
on 122 criteria, the index ranks 83 countries, offering insights into their AI
capabilities and potential.
This achievement is a direct
result of the visionary leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin
Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the
Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). Under his guidance,
