Tax expert Dr. John Saad praised the recent moves by the Egyptian Tax Authority in issuing several decisions to facilitate taxpayers, the latest of which is the Tax Services Guide.
He highlighted the guide as a pioneering effort, offering a complete catalog of available tax services, and is considered the first comprehensive guide, containing all tax services available to taxpayers and those liable to taxation.
Dr. Saad believes the guide will significantly improve
taxpayer understanding and compliance by providing clear, step-by-step
information. He noted the guide's comprehensive scope, including 17 service
packages and 60 individual services, covering areas such as registration,
electronic invoicing, tax refunds, international tax agreements, appeals, and
payment procedures.
He added that the guide also contains taxpayer account services; seizure and collection; tax research; clients; appeals; dispute resolution; inspection; communication with the tax community; real estate disposals; reconciliation in tax evasion cases; and finally, payments.
