United Energy to boost oil exploration activities in Egypt

Engineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, held a meeting with Song Yu, CEO of United Energy Group. The meeting was attended by Engineer Moataz Atef, Deputy Minister for the Technical Office and Official Spokesman for the Ministry, Engineer Mohamed Hazem from the Central Administration of the Minister's Office, and Sarah Salem, Head of the Communications and Conferences Department.

During the meeting, the company's activities in its operating areas of Burg El Arab, Abu Snan, and West Wadi El Natrun in the Western Desert, as well as the East Ras Qattara area in partnership with Sepetco, were reviewed. In addition, the service contracts with the General Petroleum Corporation in several development areas in the Western Desert were discussed. They also discussed the status of completing the exploration program in West Wadi El Natrun and finalizing the development plan for the new discovery there.

Song Yu indicated that the company is committed to working in Egypt and looks forward to intensifying drilling programs, exploration activities, and increasing production rates. He expressed the company's desire to obtain new exploration areas.
